Papa Joe's Crawfish Stew Dixieland Band Bio

Papa Joe's Crawfish Stew Dixieland Band offers a savory blend of bottom
dweller bits and pieces. A boiled down concoction of scavengers - you're
never quite sure of what you'll get in any one helping.

Hailing from Rochester, NY the "PJCS Band" first performed in
February 1998. Their debut consisted of only two songs - Five Foot Two and
A Closer Walk With Thee. Today, the band includes eight members and plays
the hallmark Dixieland Jazz standards such as "Sweet Georgia Brown," and
"Basin Street Blues." Also, the Band has added some special spice of their
own to "Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives To Me" and other less frequented
titles.

The PJCS band has performed for Rochester's Flower City Jazz Society,
and has traveled to Pennsylvania for Summer Arts program performances.
Also, the band has appreciated the opportunity to support such worthy
organizations as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the American Legion, and
the Boy Scouts of America.

"The idea to form a Dixieland band was first raised as we sat around
one of the many camp fires we built in Central New York in the Fall of
1997; we were all Cub Scout leaders. I can still hear them laughing! Since
then, we have increased our musical talent, added my Dad-In Law on banjo,
and we continue to have fun each and every time we get together. This CD
is a tribute to our friendships." - Don Cameron

Good friendships, the common desire to have fun and the right mix of
musical talent are the main ingredients of "The Stew."
